Seven Lakes Drive is a north–south parkway located in the Hudson Valley region of New York in the United States. It extends for just under 18 miles (29 km) on a northeast–southwest alignment from an intersection with New York State Route 17 (NY 17) in the village of Sloatsburg to a junction with U.S. Route 9W (US 9W) and US 202 south of the Bear Mountain Bridge in the town of Stony Point. Highlights of this loop include views of Lake Skannatati and Lake Askoti, the Hasenclever Mine, and a small cemetery with graves from the 1800s. We were poking around our GPS data for Harriman State Park, looking for an area that we hadn’t done and ended up doing a loop from Lake Skannatati.

Started at the parking area at Lake Skanatati off of Seven Lakes Drive. Climbed up the ASB Trail to the view atop Pine Swamp Mountain, where an excellent view of Lake Skanatati and Lake Kanauwake are afforded. From the view spurred off on the RC Trail, back down the mountain, across Seven Lakes Drive, and onto the shore of Lake Askoti. The highway crosses the Long Path near Lake Skannatati and connects to a parking area near Lake Askoti.

Lake Skannatati is a great lake if you are interested in catching largemouth bass or brown trout. Skannatati is located inside Harriman State Park and is stocked with 500 brown trout every spring.

The Arden-Surebridge trail starts from the entrance end of the lot (on the right if you are facing the water). 4: Lake Skannatati Parking Lot – Take Exit 16 off the Palisade Interstate Parkway and continue on Tiorati Brook Rd until you reach the Tiorati Traffic Circle OR take Exit 18 and turn onto Seven Lakes Drive to the Tiorati Traffic Circle. Continue down Seven Lakes Drive along the lake for 2 miles.
